1968
AND THE NOMINEES FOR THE BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE ARE ...
- Katharine Hepburn in The Lion in Winter
- Patricia Neal in The Subject was Roses
- Vanessa Redgrave in Isadora
- Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl
- Johanne Woddward in Rachel, Rachel
1968 is a very popular year because it's the first and only tie in the Best Actress category.
Wonderuful line-up (but I haven't seen Patricia Neal, sadly). I hope you'll pick Katharine.
ReplyDeleteYour chances of finally agreeing with the Academy sure are higher this year. ;)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of these performances, but actually really want to watch them all. I can't seen anyone but Hepburn/Streisand winning.
Time for you to agree with the Academy and I think you will. The chances are high (even mathematically :D). I'm not a fan of Kate Hepburn in general (I know, I know) but I shut up about her performance. However, I absolutely love Barbra here. :)
ReplyDeleteI want you to pick Streisand as this is one of my favorite performances. I have a suspicion that you will either love her or hate her so predict she's either your #1 or 2 or your #5.
